Bu çalışma da, Türkiye işgücü piyasasının içerisindekadınların işgücüne katılımını incelemek ve kadınların işgücüne katılımınıarttırmak için yaygın eğitim kapsamında düzenlenen meslek edindirme kurslarınınöneminden bahsedilmiştir. Türkiye’de kadınların işgücüne katılımının, ekonomikkalkınma için önemli olduğu kabul edilmekle birlikte, işgücüne katılım oranlarıdüşüktür. Yapılan literatür taramasının da ortaya koyduğu üzere, yaygın eğitimkapsamında açılan meslek edindirme kurslarının kadın istihdamına etkisiyleilgili Muğla ili için yapılan bir çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bu anlamda çalışma,Muğla’da kadınların işgücüne katılımlarının arttırılması yoluyla kadınlarıngüçlendirilmesi ve bölgesel kalkınmanın sağlanması açısından önem arzetmektedir. Yine bu çalışmanın sonunda, yaygın eğitim kapsamında verilen meslek edindirmekurslarının uygulanması aşamasında karşılaşılan sorunların tespit edilmesi veçözümlenebilmesinde de fayda sağlayacağı umulmaktadır.
This study examines the labor force participation of women in the labor market of Turkey and discussed the importance of vocational courses organized as part of formal education in order to increase the participation of women in the workforce. The participation of women in the labor force in Turkey, but is considered to be important for economic development, labor force participation rates are low. As the literature review shows, there is no study conducted for the city of Muğla on the effect of vocational training courses on women's employment within the scope of non-formal education. In this sense, the study is important for women's empowerment and regional development by increasing women's labor force participation in the city of Muğla. At the end of this study, it is hoped that it will be beneficial to identify and solve the problems encountered during the implementation of vocational training courses within the scope of non-formal education.
