The aim of this study is to analyze whether thereis an interaction among five stock markets in the countries which were groupedas the fragile-five. Therefore, it has been tried to investigate return andvolatility spillovers among these five stock markets by means of themultivariate E-GARCH model. The study includes daily stock-closing prices inyears from 2006 to 2015. Generally, these five countries have been countedamong the developing countries and it seems there has been return andvolatility spillovers among them in most studies. In this study, only thesefive stock markets have been included and it seems that the results do notmatch with the results of previous researches completely. It is concluded thatthe effect is not so strong although it seems there is an interaction among themarkets. On the other hand, it has been observed that there is a strong effectonly in two terms among these five stock markets. The first one is that thereis a volatility spillover from India share market to the other four markets.The second one is that there is a return spillover from all four markets toIndonesia share markets. Therefore, it is difficult to make a generalizationexcept these two spreads. As a result of this study, it is observed that thereturn and volatility spillovers do not include all the four countries in termsof each condition although there is a significant relationship among the fivestock markets of the countries which were grouped as the fragile five. Bu çalışmanın amacı kırılgan beşli ismi ilegruplandırılan ülkelere ait pay piyasaları arasında bir etkileşim olupolmadığını analiz etmektir. Söz konusu ülkelerin pay piyasaları arasında çokdeğişkenli VAR E-GARCH modeli kullanılarak getiri ve volatilite yayılımıölçülmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma 2006 – 2015 yıllarına ait günlük hisse senedikapanış fiyatlarını kapsamaktadır. Genellikle bu beş ülke gelişmekte olanülkeler arasında sayılmakta ve birçok çalışmada ülkeler arasında getiri vevolatilite yayılımı olduğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada ise sadece bu beş paypiyasası birlikte analiz edilmiş ve daha önceki bulgularla tam olarakörtüşmediği görülmüştür. Yani piyasalar arasında bir etkileşim görülmesinerağmen bu etkinin çok güçlü olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Diğer bir yandan,bu beş ülke pay piyasa arasında güçlü bir etki sadece iki yerde görülmüştür.Birincisi Hindistan’dan diğer dört piyasaya volatilite yayılımı görülmüştür.İkinci ise Tüm dört piyasadan Endonezya pay piyasalarına bir getiri yayılımıgörülmüştür. Bu iki yayılım dışında bir genelleştirme yapmak zordur. Çalışmanınsonucunda anlaşılıyor ki kırılgan beşli diye adlandırılan ülkelerin paypiyasaları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olmasına rağmen bu getiri ve volatiliteyayılımının her durum için tüm dört ülkeyi kapsamadığı görülmüştür.
