This researchtries to determine the contributions of faculty of educations to the schools inthe cities where the faculties are located, so that possible deficiencies canbe detected and corrected by employing strategies generated according tofindings of the study. Deep interview technique was used to gather data. Studygroup consisted of administrators and teachers of schools in Artvin. A total of10 participants including 5 teachers and 5 administrators were interviewed.Maximum variation sampling technique was used to compose the study group. Asemi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used as thedata collection instrument. Teachers and administrators expect the educationfaculty to make contributions to professional development of teachers and todeveloping joint projects. It is understood that faculty of education shouldcontribute to the social life in city and bridge the gap between theory andpractice. The contributions of the faculty to the professional development ofeducators were done by helping in workshops and in-service trainings duringseminar periods. Activities done during seminar periods are found to beineffective, so they should be done during intermediary periods. |

Bu çalışmada Eğitim Fakülteleri’nin’bulundukları kentlerdeki eğitim kurumlarına yaptığı katkıların neler olduğuaraştırılmış ve eksik kalan noktalar belirlendikten sonra bu eksiklikleringiderilmesi için çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur. Araştırmada verilerintoplanmasında derinlemesine görüşme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Artvin ilindebulunan okulların yöneticileri ve öğretmenlerinden oluşan bir çalışma grubuoluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada 5 öğretmen, 5 eğitim yöneticisi olmak üzere 10kişiyle görüşülmüştür. Çalışma grubu amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden azami çeşitlilikörneklemesi yöntemine başvurularak oluşturulmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak 5soruluk yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan oluşan ve araştırmacılartarafından geliştirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre eğitim fakültesininhizmet içi eğitimlere daha çok katkı sunması, öğretmenlerle onların alanlarıylailgili iş birliği yapması, okullarla ortak projeler geliştirmesi ve uygulamasıbeklenmektedir. Eğitim fakültesinin kentin sosyal yaşantısına bir katkısınınolması gerektiği ve kuramın gerçek yaşamla birleştirilmesi için eğitimfakültesinin katkıda bulunması gerektiği anlaşılmıştır. Eğitimcilerin meslekigelişimlerinde eğitim fakültesinin katkısının seminer dönemlerindekiçalıştaylar ve hizmet içi eğitimlerle sağlandığı anlaşılmıştır. Seminer dönemlerindeyapılan çalışmaların etkisiz olduğu ve ara dönemlerde çalışmaların yapılmasıgerektiği sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. |
