Mizahın insanın mutluluğuna ve refahına olumlu etkilerinin olduğuuzun zamandır bilinmektedir. Birçok disiplin tarafından araştırma konusuyapılan mizah, son zamanlarda örgütsel davranışlar alanında çalışan araştırmacılarında dikkatini çekmiş ve iş yerinde mizah çalışma konusu yapılmaya başlanmıştır.Bu çalışma banka çalışanlarının iş yerinde mizah algılarını metaforlararacılığıyla sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla 36 banka çalışanından eldeedilen verilerin tümevarımsal içerik analizi sonucunda iş yerinde mizah ileilgili farklı bakış açıları belirlenmiştir. Buna göre, sağlık çağrışımı yapanilaç ve doktor metaforlarının sıklıkla kullanıldığı, mizahın iş yerindeiyileştirici, tedavi edici gücü olan bir örgütsel unsur olarak algılandığıgörülmüştür. Bunun yanısıra, yine sıklıkla ifade edilen ve doğa çağrışımıyapan, güneş, hayat, gökkuşağı gibi metaforlar ve besin çağrışımı yapan, tuz,tatlı, et gibi metaforlar, iş yerinde mizahın örgüt üyesinin yaşamınısürdürebilmesi için zorunlu bir ihtiyaç olarak algılandığını göstermiştir.Üretilen bu metaforlar için sunulan gerekçeler ve metaforların mantıksaldayanakları ise mizah kuramları kapsamında değerlendirilerek mizahın çoğunluklaRahatlama kuramı bağlamında algılandığı, bunun yanısıra Uyumsuzluk kuramınıçağrıştıran dayanakların da olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma grubundan eldeedilen veriler içinde Üstünlük kuramını ifade eden metafor gerekçesi vedayanağı betimlenmemiştir. |

It has long been known that humor has positive effects on human happiness and well-being. Thehumor, which has been the subject of research by many disciplines, has also recently attractedthe attention of researchers working in the field of organizational behavior and the humor in theworkplace has come into use of subject of research. This study aims to present the humorperception of the employees in the workplace via metaphors. For this purpose, as a result of theinductive content analysis of the data obtained from 36 bank employees, different perspectiveson humor in the workplace were determined. According to this, it has been seen that drugs anddoctor metaphors which are associated with health are frequently used and humor is perceived asan organizational element with healing and therapeutic power in the workplace. In addition,metaphors such as sun, life, rainbow, which are often expressed and associated with natureconnotations, and metaphors which make nutrient connotations such as salt, sweet and meat, haveshown that humor is perceived as a necessary necessity for the survival of the organizationmember at work. The rationales of the metaphors produced and the logical basis of thesemetaphors were evaluated within the context of humor theories and it was found that humor wasmostly perceived in the context of Relief theory, and that there were also foundations that evokethe theory of Incongruity. In the data obtained from the study group, the rationale and the basisof the metaphor expressing the theory of Superiority were not described. |
