Antalya Körfezi’nin başlıcaakarsularındaki yılanbalığı göçlerinin araştırılması amacıyla 1980’li yıllarınbaşından günümüze kadar tutulan bilimsel kayıtlar ve güncel gözlemler ışığında;yaklaşık 30 yılı aşkın bir sürede akarsulara elver girişindeki değişimler, habitatkayıpları ve habitatalar üzerindeki insani baskılar gözden geçirilmiştir. Akarsularaolan elver girişlerini kirlilik, su seviyesinde aşırı azalma, kum alımı veakarsu yatağı düzenlemesi gibi tahribatlar, regülatör ve baraj gibi mekanikengeller, nehir ağızlarının turizm amaçlı düzenlemesi, motorlu su taşıtları,dip tarayan balık ağları gibi insan faaliyetlerine bağlı habitat kayıplarıönemli derecede etkilerken; yetişkin yılanbalığı popülasyonlarının trajikazalışında akarsulardaki debi azalışı, nehir yatağı tahribatları, aşırı avcılıkve stoklardaki küresel azalmanın en önemli etkenler olabileceğideğerlendirilmiştir. |

In consideration of thescientific records and current observations obtained from the early 1980s untiltoday in order to investigate the eel migrations in the main streams of AntalyaGulf, we here reviewed the changes in the elvers arrival into the streams, howhabitats have changed until today, and the anthropogenic pressures on habitats.Elvers arrivals into the streams have been significantly affected by habitatdestructions such as pollution, an excessive reduction in water level, sandremoval and streambed arrangement; mechanical barriers such as regulators anddams; tourism intended arrangement of estuaries, and habitat losses caused byanthropogenic activities such as motor boats and scoop fishing nets. On theother hand, the tragic decrease in adult eel populations has been consideredable to result from factors such as reduced flow rate, streambed destruction,overfishing and global declines in stocks. |
