Küreselleşmeylebirlikte artan rekabet ortamında işletmeler etkinlik ve verimlilik hedeflerineulaşmak, rakipleri üzerinde rekabet üstünlüğü sağlamak gibi amaçlarla dahayüksek kaliteli ürün ve hizmetleri daha düşük maliyetlerle piyasaya sunmakdurumundadırlar. Bu noktada muhasebe hem bir bilim dalı hem de bir meslekolarak önem kazanmaktadır. Muhasebenin önemindeki bu artış bu alandaçalışanların eğitimli ve nitelikli olmalarını gerekli kılmaktadır.Muhasebe eğitimininamacına ulaşabilmesi ve işletmelerin nitelikli çalışan istihdam etmeihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilmesi için öğrencilere teorik bilgiler yanındauygulamaya yönelik tecrübeleri elde edebilecekleri olanakların da sağlanmasıgerekmektedir. Bu sebeplerle öğrencilerin iş hayatına adaptasyon sağlanmalarıve mesleki tecrübe edinmeleri açısından iş başında eğitim, muhasebe eğitimiiçerisinde önemli bir yere sahiptir.Bu çalışmanınamacı, Muhasebe ve Finansal Yönetim öğrencilerinin muhasebe sektöründen kariyerkonusundaki istek ve beklentileri ile iş başı eğitimden elde ettikleritecrübelerin bu istek ve beklentileri üzerine etkilerini tespit etmektir. Buamaca yönelik olarak işbaşında eğitim sürecini tamamlamış 139 adet öğrenciüzerinde anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin almışoldukları muhasebe eğitiminden ve işbaşında eğitim sürecinden memnun oldukları,işbaşında eğitim sonrası muhasebecilik mesleğini icra etme isteklerinin arttığıtespit edilmiştir.
In anincreasingly competitive environment with globalization, companies need todeliver higher quality products and services to the market with lower costs,with the goal of achieving operational efficiency and productivity targets andproviding competitive advantage over competitors. At this point, accounting isgaining importance both as a discipline and as a profession. This increase inthe importance of accountability requires that the staff in this field betrained and qualified.In order toaccounting education to be able to achieve its goal and to meet the needs ofemploying qualified employees, it is necessary to provide students with theopportunity to gain practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge. Forthis reason internship has an important place in accounting education in termsof adaptation of students to their work life and professional experience.This study’s aimis to determine Accounting and Financial Management students' needs andexpectations in the career of the accounting sector and the experiences theyhave gained on the job training and their effects on expectations andexpectations. For this purpose, a survey has been conducted on 139 students whocompleted on the job training period. Asa result of the research, it is determined that the students who participatedin the survey were satisfied with the accounting education and on the jobtraining process, and that they had increased their desire to perform thepost-training accountancy profession.
