İkiz Alman Holştayn Buzağıda Hidrosefali Internus, Diğer Sinirsel Malformasyonlar ve Kısa Kuyrukluluk Olgusu

dc.descriptionİki günlük Alman Holştayn Buzağı deforma bir kafa şekli ile doğdu. Buzağı,klinik muayeneden kısa süre sonra dayanamadı ve öldü ve daha sonra nekropsiyeverildi. Yapılan Patolojik-Anatomik inceleme neticesinde hidrosefali internus ve serebellar hemisferlerin atrofisi,serebellum hipoplazisi, servikal omurilikte siringomiyeli ve torasik omuriliğinkraniyal kısmı dâhil olmak üzere çoklu şekil bozuklukları, torasik spinalkordonun kaudal kısmında hidromyeli, beşinci ve yedinci torakal vertebraarasında görülen skolyoz ve bilateral keratitis görülen ikiz doğan iki günlük bir Alman Holştayn buzağıdabovine viral diyare (BVD) virüsü antikorları pozitif çıkan bu sonuç görülenanomaliler ile ilişkili olabiliceği kanısına varıldı. Brachyury (kısa kuyruk) ile karakterize diğer erkek buzağıda veikiz buzağıların annesi olan inekde yapılan ELISA testi neticesinde BVD virüs antikorlarıiçin pozitif olarak tespit edildi. BVD virüsünün gebeliğin erken evresindekienfeksiyonu, dişi buzağının çoklu malformasyonundan ve erkek buzağıdabrachury’sinden sorumlu olduğu varsayılabilir.
dc.descriptionA two-days-old female German Holstein twin calf borned a deformedcranium. The calf was not able to endure and died shortly after the clinicalexamination and this calf was submitted to necropsy. Pathological-anatomicalexamination showed multiple malformations including hydrocephalus internus andatrophy of cerebellar hemispheres, hypoplasia of the cerebellum, syringomyeliain the cervical spinal cord and the cranial part of the thoracic spinal cord,hydromyelia in the caudal part of the thoracic spinal cord, scoliosis betweenthe fifth and seventh thoracic vertebra and bilateral keratitis could beassociated with a positive result for bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD) virusantibodies. Its male co-twin with brachyury and also dam of the twins werepositive for BVD virus antibodies by ELİSA Test. Infection by BVD virus in anearly stage of the pregnancy may be assumed to be responsible for the multiplemalformations in the female twin and the brachyury of the male co-twin.
