dc.descriptionThe aims of this study were to determine the attitude of Science and Techonology Teacher candidates studying at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University toward physics laboratory and to investigate whether total attitude scores differ significantly according to the gender, grade level and age. The study is a comparative descriptive study and it was carried out with 241 students studying at Science Education Teaching Programme in spring semester of 2009-2010 academic year. As a measuring tool, an Attitude Scale for the Physics Laboratory was taken from the related literature. The obtained data was analyzed in terms of the means, frequency and percentage of the items and based on these descriptive statistics; the attitudes of candidates were evaluated. Independent sample t-test and ANOVA were used to analyze whether the attitude scores show significant relation with gender, grade level and age groups. The results of the descriptive statistics indicated that teacher canditates’ attitudes toward physics laboratory are mostly positive. According to the results of the descriptive statistics, although the average attitude scores of females was higher than that of males, this difference was not statistically significant based on inferential statistics. The results also denoted that the attitudes of candidates do not change significantly with respect to their grade level and age.
dc.descriptionBu çalışmanın amacı Fen ve Teknoloji Öğretmen adaylarının fizik laboratuvarına yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek, toplam tutum puanlarının adayların cinsiyet, sınıf ve yaşlarına göre anlamlı farklılıklar gösterip göstermediğini incelemektir. Araştırma karşılaştırma niteliğinde betimsel bir çalışma olup, 2009-2010 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği programında öğrenim gören 241 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri Toplama aracı olarak kullanılan Fizik Laboratuvarına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği literatürden hazır olarak alınmıştır. Elde edilen veriler analiz edilerek, maddelerin aritmetik ortalama ve seçeneklere ait frekans, yüzde değerleri belirlenilmiş ve adayların fizik laboratuvarına yönelik tutumları değerlendirilmiştir. Toplam tutum puanlarının adayların cinsiyet, sınıf seviyeleri ve öğrenci yaş gruplarına göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği bağımsız örneklem t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ile test edilmiştir. Betimsel istatistik sonuçları adayların fizik laboratuvarına yönelik genelde olumlu tutumlar sergilediğini göstermektedir. Analiz sonuçları, cinsiyet değişkeninin fizik laboratuvarına yönelik tutum puanları üzerinde, bayanlar lehinde anlamlı farklılık gösterirken, sınıf seviyesi ve yaş değişkenlerinin bu puanlar üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığını göstermektedir.
