Abstract

Description

The aim of this study is to identify theperformance problems of assistant professors in Mehmet Akif Ersoy UniversityFaculty of Education along with causes and sub-causes of underperformance. Toachieve this goal, six assistant professors sampled conveniently among theassistant professors working there in 2015-2016 education year. Theparticipants were interviewed through semi-structured interview instrument. Theinterview questions were written in accordance with Wile's synthesized HPTmodel. Then, interview questions were revised based upon content specialists'feedbacks and focus group discussion output. Then, the content analysis wereconducted and findings were reported. In accordance with the  findings, the causes and sub-causes of performance
