| dc.description | Geographical and sociological factors have a great influence onarchitectural design. These effects are especially noticeable in traditionalarchitecture. The physical properties such as heat control, lighting quantity,orientation, dimensions, construction systems and materials of construction aremore important in the local architecture than in today's dwellings. When allthe factors are taken into consideration, the definition of sustainability ismade by itself. This study will be examined inthe context of sustainability of traditional stone houses of Ayvalık regionfrom Turkey with similar climatic conditions and Oxfordshire region of England. | |
| dc.description | Coğrafive sosyolojik etmenlerin mimari tasarım üzerinde büyük etkisi vardır. Buetkiler özellikle geleneksel mimaride dikkat çeken unsurlardır. Yapının ısı kontrolü, aydınlanma miktarı,yönlenmesi, boyutları, yapım sistemleri ve malzemesi gibi fiziksel özelliklergünümüz konutlarına kıyasla yerel mimaride daha çok önem kazanır. Tüm etmenlergöz önüne alındığında sürdürülebilirliğin tanımı da kendiliğinden yapılmışolur. Bu çalışmada benzer iklim koşullarına sahip Türkiye'de bulunan Ayvalıkilçesi ve İngiltere'de Oxford şehrigeleneksel taş evleri sürdürülebilirlik bağlamında incelenmiştir. | |
